UMS User Account Management
@Maine.edu email uses your UMS user account.  Your UMS user account is also used for other system-wide technology services such as Blackboard and Maine Street.

You can manage your UMS user account here using the following links:

Using an Email Client to Connect
The UMS email system supports connections from most email clients.  See our Mail Client Configuration Instructions for details. If your mail has been migrated to Google Apps, See these Mail Client Configuration Instructions (Thunderbird only at this time).

Google Apps for Students Information

UMS Student Email to be hosted by Google!
During this summer, all UMS student email accounts will be migrated from the current Horde/IMAP system to Google Apps. More information (updated May 8, 2009).

If you would like to have your account migrated to Google Apps now, you use the self-service MigrateToGoogle application (click here), or by contacting the ITS help desk by e-mail at support@maine.edu or by phone at 561-3587.
